Description

Work in any color medium including oils, pastels, watercolors, acrylics or colored pencils to create rich color and the luminous feeling of light. Visit the galleries to discover how past artists used color in their paintings.

Syllabus/Objective

  • Week 1 - Discussion about the "Color & Light" handouts, and the importance of correct painting colors in the primary.
  • Week 2 - Discussion about the "Tetrads" and how to choose the right one for the advanced student.
  • Week 3 - Visit WAM Renaissance and Baroque Galleries.
  • Week 4 - Individual critique with each student.
